Mention the offer when you book. One offer per household per visit; offers can’t be combined with each other and don’t apply to work already quoted or completed. Local pricing and availability vary by location - your local Hearthstone Chimney Co. team confirms the final price in writing before any work begins.
Every job is priced the same way: a free written estimate
We price the job, not the hour. Before anyone touches anything, you get the full price for the specific work in writing - no hourly meter, no membership to join, no financing to sign, and no line items added afterwards. If the number isn’t right for you, the estimate is still free and you owe us nothing.
How We Price Chimney Cleaning Work
Every job at Hearthstone Chimney Co. is priced on its own terms, off a free written estimate. No hourly rate, no plan to join, nothing to sign up for. You see the full number before a single tool comes out of the truck, and that number is what you pay.
That matters because chimney work is not a commodity. A cleaning on a thirty-year-old clay-tile flue with a cracked smoke chamber is a different job than a cleaning on a newer stainless liner. Pricing them the same way would be dishonest to one customer or the other. Job-by-job pricing means the number on your estimate is the number on your invoice – no adjustments, no line items that quietly appeared while we were working.
Russell Haines built the company this way in 1984, and we haven’t changed it. A square deal means you know what you’re spending before you commit. That’s the whole idea.
What a Visit Actually Costs You to Find Out
Nothing. The estimate visit is free.
When we come out, a background-checked, uniformed technician walks the system – firebox, smoke chamber, flue, crown, cap, exterior masonry. If the job calls for it, we run a Level-2 camera inspection and show you the photos on the spot, with a plain-English explanation of what we found. No guessing, no vague “you’ve got some issues up there.”
At the end of the visit, you have a written estimate with the full price for the specific work your chimney needs. You can take it, compare it, sleep on it. There is no pressure and no obligation. If you decide not to move forward, you owe us nothing. We’d rather earn the job than rush it.
When People Usually Call Us
Most of our calls follow a pattern we’ve seen for forty years.
Late summer and early fall is the busy window – the weeks before the first fire of the season when people realize they haven’t had the chimney looked at since, well, they’re not sure. That’s the right instinct. A sweep and inspection before burning season is exactly when this work should happen, which is also why every certified sweep in the country is booked solid by mid-October. If you’re thinking about it, calling in August is better than calling in November.
Storm season brings a different set of calls: a damaged cap, a cracked crown, water showing up in the firebox after a hard rain. That kind of leak doesn’t fix itself over the winter.
Spring is when people deal with what they noticed all season but kept putting off – the draft that wasn’t quite right, the damper that stuck, the liner question they’ve been meaning to ask someone. We hear all of it, and none of it surprises us.
Whenever your call comes in, a live person answers – every day, every hour. Not a voicemail, not a callback queue.
What You Can Expect From Us Either Way
The same standards apply whether you’re using an offer or not.
Every estimate is written and upfront – the number on the paper is the number on the invoice. Most jobs are completed in a single visit by the same background-checked, uniformed technician who gave you the estimate. We work with professional-grade materials from brands the trade trusts: DuraFlex, HeatShield, Gelco, Olympia Chimney, Famco, and Copperfield. No builder-grade substitutes.
Every job we do is covered by the 90-Day Done Right Promise – the Keystone Standard. If the work isn’t right within ninety days, we come back and make it right. That’s in writing, no paperwork, no arguing. It’s the K.E.Y.S. values code applied to your chimney: Krafted right, Every time, Your home first, Standing behind it.
We’ve been serving local communities since 1984. A company that plans to be in your town in thirty more years acts accordingly – and that’s exactly how we act on every job.
Common Questions
Is the estimate really free?
Yes, completely. A technician comes out, inspects the system, and gives you a written price for the specific work your chimney needs. You pay nothing for that visit, and you’re under no obligation to book the job. The estimate is yours to keep.
Do you offer financing or a monthly plan?
No, and that’s deliberate. We price every job off a free written estimate – you see the full number before any work begins, and that’s the only commitment on the table. No installment plans, no subscriptions, nothing to sign up for. We’ve found that a clear, honest price upfront is a better deal for the homeowner than a product that adds complexity to a straightforward transaction.
Can I combine two offers?
One offer per household per visit. If you’re unsure which applies best to your situation, ask the technician when they’re on-site – they’ll tell you straight. What we won’t do is make it confusing.
Does the price change once you’re here?
No. The written estimate is the price, full stop. If we open something up and find an additional problem – a liner issue we couldn’t see from the outside, for example – we stop, explain what we found, and give you a revised written quote before doing anything extra. You decide. Nothing gets added to your invoice without your say-so first.
