Chimney work is not glamorous on paper. You’re up before most people, you’re on a roof or inside a firebox before noon, and by the end of the day you’ve documented exactly what you found, cleaned what needed cleaning, and left a home safer than it was when you arrived. That’s the job. It’s skilled, it’s physical, and it matters in a way that’s easy to explain to your family at dinner. We’ve been doing it since 1984, and we’re looking for people who want to do it the right way – not just once, but on the four hundredth job the same as the first.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Chimney Sweep Apprentice: Someone willing to learn from the ground up, take direction well, and show up ready to work – no prior chimney experience required, just a serious attitude.
  • Lead Chimney Technician: An experienced sweep or tradesperson who can run a job independently, communicate findings clearly to homeowners, and take ownership of the result.
  • Chimney Repair Specialist: A mason or experienced technician comfortable with mortar work, liner installation, and structural assessment – someone who reads a firebox the way a mechanic reads an engine.
  • Chimney Liner & Rebuild Installer: A detail-oriented installer with experience working in tight spaces, following manufacturer specs, and using professional-grade materials like DuraFlex and HeatShield without cutting corners.
  • Fireplace & Cap/Crown Installer: Someone with a steady hand and a good eye who takes satisfaction in leaving a finished installation that looks and functions exactly as it should.
  • Dispatcher / Customer Service Representative: A calm, organized communicator who can handle a busy phone line, schedule crews efficiently, and represent the company well to homeowners who are trusting us with their home.

What We Offer

Real Training and a Clear Path Forward

We don’t hand you a manual and wish you luck. Apprentices work alongside experienced journeymen from the first day, learning how we inspect, how we document, and how we talk to homeowners. The path from apprentice to lead technician is a real one – people have walked it here, and we take the time to build that into how we operate.

Work You Can Stand Behind

Our 90-Day Done Right Promise isn’t a marketing phrase – it’s how we run every job. Every inspection ends with photos and a plain-English explanation the homeowner can understand. We use professional-grade materials: DuraFlex, HeatShield, Gelco, Olympia Chimney, Famco, and Copperfield. No builder-grade substitutes, no rushed callbacks, no cutting corners to make a number work. When you drive away from a job here, you know the work was done right.

Local Crew, National Backing

You’ll work with a local team that knows the neighborhoods, the seasonal patterns, and the customers. Behind that crew is a national organization with four decades of systems, supplier relationships, and support built up since 1984. You get the feel of a tight-knit local shop without being on your own when something difficult comes up.

Steady, Year-Round Demand

Chimneys don’t go away. Every home with a fireplace, a wood stove, or a gas insert needs what we provide – and most homeowners have been putting it off longer than they should. That means consistent work, not the feast-and-famine cycle you find in a lot of trades. Our phones are staffed around the clock, and we’re built to stay busy.

No Experience? Read This.

If you’ve spent time in roofing, HVAC, masonry, construction, or any trade where you worked with your hands, followed a process, and owned the quality of your work – you already have more than you think. What transfers is the discipline, the spatial sense, and the habit of doing a job until it’s actually done.

What we teach is everything specific to chimneys: how to run a level-2 camera inspection, how to read a firebox and flue for wear, how to install liner systems properly, and how to explain findings to a homeowner without talking down to them or over their head. The first months are structured – you’re working alongside experienced technicians, not thrown onto a truck alone. By the time you’re running jobs independently, you’ll know what you’re doing and why. That’s how it’s worked here since the beginning.
